Well, it's Stephen S.and the article is call "The Chambersville Heritage Rose Garden" by Claude Graves. This garden is located in Richardson, Texas. I wonder if Stephen knows he is in this photo??

Allison, Sue Hopkins, who is the new Editor of that journal, is a neat woman. She's also the NW Region Coordinator for HRG. :-)

Yes, Kathleen, I am on the trail for new rose books and publications all the time. Thanks for the imformation about these two. I found it interesting that after several years as an ARS member, I didn't know about their Old Garden Rose and Shrub Journal. I haven't looked deeply into that website, have I?

Allison, will you be getting either of those publications I posted??

OK, first up is "American Rose Rambler", edited by Peter Schneider P.O. Box 677 Manuta, Ohio 44255. As you know Peter publishes "Combined Rose List" for $22. American Rose Rambler is published bi-monthly for $15.00 per year (six issues).

Old Garden Rose and Shrub Journal is an American Rose Society Publication. It is published quarterly and the rate is $10.00 per year. You can go to the ARS website to sign up. I hope this answers your questions.

I live about 45 minutes from Steven's S. home in New Jersey. He has spoken a few times at The West Jersey Rose Society. I very much enjoyed his talks.

Oh, dear, Stephen DOES listen in on here, lol!

When is the planting, Stephen? (I had to miss the recent gathering due to work scheduling conflicts, but I will certainly try again.) I will just bet there is some wonderful food in that neighborhood, even if it is a bit too far north to be Cajun terretory...

Well, it's not surprising that we get them all confused sometimes... after all, just think of how many of the rose names are similar in some way! Prairie Sunshine, Prairie Sunset...

I get Rosa Mundi, a wonderful publication! And I am now officially back in the fold for the Heritage Roses Group, as well, after having lapsed a couple of years ago. I am very excited about Jeri and her DH's involvement with my region (South Central). Then of course I get the newsletter for The Texas Rose Rustlers, and the American Rose magazine for ARS, and a whole bunch of catalogs and general gardening magazines.

You have intrigued me with a couple of publications which I have never heard of... the "Old Garden Rose and Shrub Journal" and "American Rose Rambler". Can you tell us about those?

(Hoping Stephen doesn't get upset about us discussing other groups on here? If so, I apologize humbly, Stephen...)

Allison, I just joined the "Heritage Rose Foundation" and will await "RosaMundi" publication. Both have similar names and that is where my confusion centered. LOL

I missed my renewal membership last February for Heritage Roses Group. I also get "Old Garden Rose and Shrub Journal" and one more called "American Rose Rambler". I'll try and keep them all sorted out. LOL

Thanks Allison!

Kathleen, if you meant the HRG "Rose Letter," I probably can come up with copies for the past year.

Ooops

Kathleen, "RosaMundi" is the publication of The Heritage Rose Foundation.

Jeri and Clay are working on Heritage Rose Groups, a different but equally wonderful group, with a different publication, called "Heritage Roses".

I hope that doesn't leave you frustrated. Maybe mentioning "RosaMundi" was merely a typo on your part. If not, I know you will love "Heritage Roses", too!

Hi Jeri,
Thanks to Clay I sent in my renewal membership. I lost a whole year of Rosamundi. Can I send a check to receive last year's 4 copies??
