Near the (very) old railroad tracks there are some species roses-I know one has dk red thorny stems and pink blooms, but the other day I found a thornless (multiflora) which I had not noticed before, I had never noticed any thornless species before. I have a sucker which has foliage like r.arkensas but it is a bit more blunt tipped and a define gray/red color. small bristles. still waiting for the blooms. |

Looks like Rosa woodsii, or some subspecies thereof. The flowers are very variable in color on the ones we have here, though not generally on the same plant. |
