Betty, thank you for that information! And thank you for trekking over to Tyler to visit with us on Saturday- it was good to meet you again!

Stephen, you are most welcome for the cake, sad and sorry specimen that it was. You're right- I need annual (at least!) practice... I think the mocha flavor must have burned off during the baking- house sure smelled deliciously of coffee while the oven was on! Maybe the heavy chocolate just overwhelmed the mocha? But my point was that you had a birthday, and I wanted you, Ron, Betty, and Gregg, to all feel very welcomed to your visit with us rustlers. I hope you'll come join us in the spring, too!

I don't think that was planned for this event.

By the way, Betty Vickers has a copy of the species dissertation from UVA.

and i have those stupid glasses that don't even fit!
(my real glasses are lost in a garden, probably on the nose of some deer!)

The rose on the right is one of the roses donated from New Orleans, the Cemetery Bourbon (found rose). This rose and many others were auctioned off....we raised a good amount of money and awarness for our group.

thanks etienne, and thank you everyone for making this event a huge success. Details to follow, I promise.
