Hello Jack, We would need more info to give you some idea to what rose you might have. Some pictures would really help (a pic of the flower, a pic of the leaves & a pic of the canes & thorns would be very useful). Also what Zone are you in? Does the rose repeat or only bloom in the spring? Is the flower fragrant? Is the foliage fragrant? Describe the fragrance? Since they grow in a thicket rather than a bush, are quite hardy & pink, a very likely candidate would be species or wild rose but there are a number of old garden roses & rugosas that also have this characteristic. Hi, I am new here. In 1950 I found a patch of roses growing that were about 6' to a foot tall. They did not grow on a bush but they had thorns. They were pink. Can anyone tell me what kind these are? I live in mich. USA. They were qiute hardy Thanks Jack |
