For xylem and phloem and more, check with an old text by Katherine Payne Esau. (like from the 60's)
I think my copy is still packed, but it was the best plant morphology in cross sections.

Does anybody have, or know where I can find, a diagram of a rose or flower petal in cross-section, with parts labeled? Made some rather interesting microscopical observations yesterday and I need to know the terminology for what I'm seeing so I can blather on incoherently about it. Any and all help would be much appreciated.
