Well, I wish I thought we could go up there and check it out, but I strongly suspect it is gone. And I do not have a burial name to look for, unf. Jeri |

Dan, I am told that it repeats continuously, as a Tea does. FWIW, this plant is now growing in Palm Springs, CA. Jeri |

Once-blooming or repeat? (It sort of looks like the older Brownell rose 'Elegance') |

Any thoughts on identification appreciated. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/JeriJennings/Szabo1.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/JeriJennings/Szabo2.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/JeriJennings/Szabo3.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/JeriJennings/Szabo4.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/JeriJennings/Szabo5.jpg Here is what I know: Collected near the top of hill near the road, in the Placerville Union Cem. perhaps as long as 10 years ago. (Not by me.) Bloom is rather "floppy" but opens quite large -- perhaps 5 inches dia. and with up to 90 petals. The Plant is somewhat arched and drooping. I do not believe this rose exists in the cemetery anymore. Jeri Jennings |
