Three distinguished women leaders in the world of roses will speak about old roses, gardens, rose people, and their journeys in seeking a better world through plants. They will be presented by three women leaders of the Heritage Rose Foundation; Victoria Irwin, Betty Vickers and Maureen Detweiler,

Odile Masquelier – France, President and founder of Anciennes Roses en France

Ann BirdEngland, President of the Royal National Rose Society

Marilyn WellanAmerica, Past President of the American Rose Society

Following their presentations the audience is invited to ask questions of the panel.

The Heritage Rose Foundation will honor the lives and contributions of two women who have lead the cause of old roses for more than 35 years with two scholarships named in their honors:

The Barbara Worl Award
The Miriam Wilkins Award

These awards will be bestowed by Barbara and Miriam on a person or persons whom they feel have contributed to the preservation of our heritage of old roses. The Barbara Worl and Miriam Wilkins awards will be given out each year to recognize the many selfless contributions of time and talent happening all over the world on behalf of old roses. Each award will be in the form of a $1000 scholarship.

Attendance for HRF Members $75

Attendance for non-Members $100
(includes HRF membership)

Optional buffet lunch $20
(attendees may choose to
bring picnic lunches if they prefer)

Requested donation $20
(to fund the scholarships)

An auction of books, roses and rare, old-rose memorabilia is proposed from 5 pm to 6 pm, hosted by Stephen Scanniello, president of the Heritage Rose Foundation.
